MK Pg 1.22
After that, he couldn’t remember how long he walked for. It seemed like he walked quite a long distance. No matter how much he walked, he didn’t feel a bit tired. He was not at all tired of the ever continuing scenery of flowers. He was satisfied and was walking with very happily. Occasionally, from somewhere, a bird would fly to him and would land on his head or shoulder. He would play with them until they flew off.
As he saw off one of the birds, he noticed a rift in the field. He saw a peek of deep blue from the gap made from some white flowers that were snapped sideways. Somehow, it seemed that a river was flowing.
He started walking towards the river. Although he walked and walked, it seemed that he wasn’t getting closer like as if the water was running away from him. For a long period of time, he played with the small fish and birds while he walked. Eventually he managed to get closer.
What seemed like a small stream turned out to be a large river. He could see the other side was a far way across and the river bed was deep enough to not be visible. The vast stone floor cut deep into the river where nothing but deep blue green water was visible. Even when he looked into the water, there were no areas that were lighter in colour. It had a uniform deep colour, from which he knew that the river bed was relatively flat.
If you walked until the edge of the deep broad river, there was no way of progressing any further. He still couldn’t swim. There didn’t seem to be a current in the river, but he had no thoughts of crossing a river of this size.
Disappointed, he looked around at his surroundings. In the distance, there was something that glittered. As he looked very carefully, far upstream (or downstream) the river, a bridge joined both sides of the river.
